I retired from the community development sector with city governments and prior to that I worked in the construction business.  I have been working with wood from a very young age turning fallen trees into usable items and decorative art.  During my management years I enjoyed using a variety of writing instruments and have collected fine pens for years, now we design and craft our own.  We design our bowls, vases and platters as the wood blank speaks to us.  Recently I have incorporated multiple mediums into our wood pieces including: acrylics, gemstone inlays and epoxies, but I seem to thoroughly enjoy building segmented wood projects.  Most of my art projects are original designs by my wife and I with local woods from here in Kansas while a few woods being purchased from various sites in the United States.  I believe we should 'Make Good Art' when designing and crafting a project.  We hope you enjoy the website and we would appreciate your business if you desire to purchase an item.
